New year, new goals

2022 was all about Ten Dates for us. Taking a game from inception to delivery in less than 12 months was no small task.

It was the longest game we’ve ever developed, with over 11 hours of filmed content (we shot 45 pages a day, which is verging on the impossible). We’re super happy with the result, we think it’s fun, inclusive and genuine, and the writing partnership of veteran Paul Raschid with newcomer Zoe Morgan Chiswick was a gift.

At the end of 2022 we were excited to be nominated for a Cardiff business award. As a tiny, relatively young team, being in our category alongside much larger, more established companies was a real achievement. Thanks Cardiff! John also got up on stage to accept an award with his fellows at Screen Alliance Wales for Third Sector Business of the year.

We were also the very happy recipients of two fantastic development grants from UK Games Fund and XR Stories. More development news coming shortly as a result of these!

Moving into 2023 we are knee-deep in RnD and innovation programmes. We have big goals for the next slate of games and they all look to evolve storytelling and gameplay beyond our current library. We’re relying heavily (and with loads of gratitude) on the tech ecosystem in Cardiff and have a number of ongoing innovation and research collaborations in the works with local companies and academic organisations.

Three goals for 2023: more challenging gameplay, more puzzle fun, more story innovation.
